About Me

When people list the things that define them, often they will mention the sports that they play, the friends that they hang out with, and perhaps something related to their cultural identity. Whilst I can relate to all of the above, were someone to ask me the same question, I would have to refer to my travel experiences, as these have been an important part of my life (particularly in recent years), and have helped me become the person that I am today.

Aside from an avid traveller, I am also a linguist and an economist by profession. I initially gained a degree in Modern Foreign Languages, before also graduating in economics further down the line. I also have a postgraduate qualification in Spanish-English translation. I am fluent in French and Spanish, have an advanced level in German, and a basic level in both Dutch and Italian. These linguistic skills have definitely helped me a huge amount during my travels, and I would urge anyone who is looking to travel for extended periods of time to sign up for a language course prior to departure; trust me, it will open many doors for you, and will make your travel experience that much more rewarding!
